Team Oregon Build

Join Team Oregon Build (TOB), happening now in schools across Lane County and Oregon.

TOB trains CTE instructors across Oregon to construct transitional shelters, sheds, and supplementary structures like garden beds, chairs, and picnic tables. Once trained, CTE instructors lead their students through the construction process, providing them with hands-on education, training, and work-based learning opportunities that help them develop valuable employment skills, credentials, credits, and certifications. Students also engage in career awareness and exploration to understand career paths in construction trades and emerging careers in disaster/crisis readiness, response, recovery, and resilience.

1. Evaluate your classroom’s skill level and capacity, and select a kit.
   • Beginner: Cottage accessories (garden beds, chairs, or picnic tables)  Cottage Accessories – Project Materials

   • Advanced: Cottage Insulated Cottages – Project Materials
2. Get started by filling out your project scope via the TOB order/interest form.
3. Connect with our Program Coordinator to finalize your build scope and resource needs.
4. Wait for your materials to be delivered directly to your classroom or job site.
5. Once your build is complete, contact the Coordinator to arrange transportation to the community partner site.
